Dr. Criscione is a native of South Kingstown, RI, and earned his medical degree at Brown University Medical School, where he was inducted into the highly selective Alpha Omega Alpha Society. He completed his internship in Medicine at Roger Williams Hospital/ Boston University School of Medicine and his residency in Dermatology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School where he was chief resident during his final year of residency. He is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Medical Dermatology Society ,the Dermatology Foundation, the New England Dermatology Society, the Rhode Island Dermatology Society, the American Medical Association, and the Rhode Island Medical Society. He is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for the Johnson and Wales University, Center for Physician Assistant Studies. His original research focusing on various types of skin cancers and pre-cancerous lesions has been published in many peer-reviewed journals including Cancer, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Archives of Dermatology, and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is on the staff at South County Hospital. He enjoys many outdoor activities, including running, cycling, hiking, fishing, tennis, golf, and skiing.
