Dr. McCormick is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). He joins Orthopedics Rhode Island after spending nearly 20 years as partner, practitioner and surgeon at Shoreline Podiatry in Wakefield. He was the first podiatrist in Rhode Island to serve as Chief of Surgery, a position he held at South County Hospital for four consecutive terms. He also served as Medical Director for The Perioperative Services Wound Center. He is board-certified in Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also certified in Wound Care from the American Board of Wound Healing.

With a personable approach, Dr. McCormick listens to his patients concerns and involves them every step of the way during their evaluation and treatment decision-making process. His first approach is always conservative, and he’s always looking for new ways to better serve his patients.

Originally from Pittsburgh, he now resides in Westerly, RI. He enjoys the small-town near big-city life the area has to offer as well as the changing seasons and magnificent beaches in Rhode Island. In his spare time he enjoys kayaking and working on his house.
