South County Hospital’s Birthing Center currently holds 5-Star Ratings from HealthGrades for C-Section Delivery & Vaginal Delivery and features Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and Certified Lactation Consultants as part of the care team.

We were also the first hospital in RI to be designated Baby-Friendly. This mark of excellence encourages and recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding.
