On Saturday, June 3, from 9am to 1pm, South County Health hosts a FREE Car Seat Check and Touch-A-Truck event at South County Hospital.

“As Rhode Island’s Most Trusted Health Partner, promoting safety within our community is part of South County Health’s mission. We are thrilled to partner with South Kingstown Police in serving the families of our community in this event,” says President and CEO Aaron Robinson.

“There is nothing more important than the safety of our children,” said Matthew C. Moynihan, Chief of Police for South Kingstown. “Our department is looking forward to partnering with South County Hospital and giving families the know-how to install their car seats and keep their children safe during their summer travels.”

Members of the South Kingstown Police Department, trained in Child Passenger Safety, will provide free car seat installation checks. Other family friendly activities will include: face painting, touch-a-truck, and guided tours of South County Hospital’s award-winning Birthing Units.

This is a convenient opportunity for community members to ensure that they are using the right car seat, with the right installation, for their children’s ages and sizes.
