Dr. Fass is a physician with clinical expertise in Radiation Oncology and over 35 years of experience. Dr. Fass, who trained at Howard University, was part of the pioneering team that developed radiation dosing technologies 3D RT and IMRT at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a technology he later brought to community hospitals in the New York area.
Under Dr. Fass’ leadership, South County Health’s Radiation Therapy program was recently awarded a three-year accreditation from the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO) in 2023.
Dr. Fass is not only committed to improving patient lives through radiation therapy here in Rhode Island, he’s also making a difference abroad. His most recent project: donating a Tomotherapy machine, used to deliver radiation therapy treatments, to a hospital in Odessa, Ukraine. Dr. Fass also works with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) on bringing cutting edge technologies beyond radiation therapy to community hospitals across the U.S.
